Create a Spa Sanctuary with Fluffy Bath Towels and
Bath Accessories

Have you ever experienced a restful afternoon at a spa? Why not invite the spa experience into your home everyday? We can't all afford to have a masseuse come to our home whenever our back aches a little. We can, however, take some of the enjoyable elements of the spa and use them to transform our bathroom into an inviting retreat. That's why homeowners and other busy nesters will continue turning bathrooms into soothing wellness retreats by adding luxury bath towels and other bath accessories.

Towels are often underappreciated and don't get the attention they deserve. Choosing the right towel is an investment that's going to stay with you for a long time. There's nothing more important than a towel's material. Cotton's durability and absorbency make it the favored thread for terry towels. Loops in the towel do the dirty work. Towels with either more loops or thicker loops have higher absorbency and typically cost more, too. Combed cotton is considered a top-quality fiber for toweling because only the best grades of cotton can be combed.

Softness alone is not the only way to measure towel quality. The manufacturing process and the material affect towel absorbency. Although sheared towels are the most absorbent, they aren't necessarily the best dryers. Towels don't dry simply by absorbing moisture; the fiber loops also brush water off the body. The number of loops per square inch is the most important indicator of performance.

Wrap yourself in an oversized, absorbent bathroom towel instead of skimpy, thin towels that barely cover you. Egyptian cotton towels provide the most luxurious feel, which is reflected by its higher price. Choose either a large cotton bath towel (which will be about 30"x54") or a bath sheet (which is anywhere from 30"x60" to 36"x72"). For less than the price of a half-hour massage, you can wrap yourself in luxury again and again. For a real treat, use a towel warmer to have heated towels waiting!

So what are you waiting for? Get going and pamper yourself! Other luxuries and spa bath accessories can make a spa experience memorable, such as soothing bath products, a magnifying mirror, a lush bath mat, or a sleek and modern scale. Any or all of these extras can complete your bathroom, transforming it into an all-inclusive, beautifying hideaway.

Use these tips to help you fit in a little relaxation time each day. The benefits are all those things we so desire -- health, beauty, and happiness. In choosing the color scheme for the bathroom, if you use two colors for bath towels, choose a bath mat in one of the colors as another comfy bath accessory.

To continue creating the spa experience, also purchase a plush bathrobe. There is no worse shock than leaving a soothing, warm bath and getting a chill before you get dressed. A thick, absorbent bathrobe will ensure that you'll keep warm. Choose a style and fabric that suits your climate and don't be afraid to lounge around the house in it!
